Western New York was hit with a huge winter storm that dumped between five and seven feet of snow during most of this week. Friday November 21, the New York Sate thruway is still closed in both directions. Travel bans remain in effect for most of the area. With this much snow there’s sure to be shortages in food and gas. The associated press reported that there is more than 250 truckers who remain idled at truck stops near the thruway and more are waiting to get back on the road.
The snow seems to have slowed and now the area faces potential flooding issues. Death toll from the storm last reported at 12.
